And Pete Rose was kicked out of baseball (why Charlie Manuel is the worst manager in baseball)?

I have been railing against Charlie Manuel since last year when he insisted on batting 3 and occasionally 4 lefties in a row in his lineup. For other reasons, I think he is a terrible manager. In tonights game versus Arizona, the Phillies had runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs in the top of the 7th and the pitcher, Eaton due up. The Arizona announcers were saying that if they walked the 8th hitter, Ruiz (which they did), that there was “no way that Manuel would let Eaton bat in a 2-2 game.” As soon as they said that, I immediately said to myself, ‘You don’t know Manuel very well.’ He has a knack for doing the exact opposite of what is the obvious correct play. Sure enough, he let Eaton bat. Eaton promptly made out, gave up a home run in the bottom of the inning and the Phils lost the game. Anyone want to do the math?
