UPDATE: Candidate list of movies has been whittled down to about 30-35 movies. This will make it a much better chance that you will get two movies that you actually have seen.
I’ve been using my own standards for the scouting report for each position. However, I’d like to open it up to everyone to see what they think. It’ll just take a couple of minutes. No need to spread the word on this one. I’ll be happy to get 10 or 15 people answering.
Answer relative to that position. So, for a pitcher, you might put “hands/catching” at 4, but that would be relative to the other 6 traits for pitcher. Don’t compare position to position.
Yet again, I have received another email from a long-time poster where he tells me his real name is not his poster name. But his poster name sounds real-enough to me that I didn’t think twice that it wasn’t. Which made me wonder: how often are internet handles really just regular sounding names? I’m going to guess the results as: 20, 30, 10, 20, 10, 10
Dave Fleming had an interesting comment:

And, that’s basically true. I took it as a compliment actually, but, who knows, maybe Dave meant it as an insult. (I don’t care how he meant it, so no need to apologize or whatever for it.) It’s just one of those things that can be given, or taken, either way. It has a certain artistic flavor to it. “Great, he gives Bill James a hard time.” or “A--hole gives Bill James a hard time”. Works either way, depending on how much you would like Bill James time to be given.
Anyway, I’m interested in how you perceive how I conduct my business. I’m not going to change mind you. I’m just interested on the perspective as to how you perceive my interactions with the baseball analyst community.
Including his minor league performance and spring training, Strasburg has faced 318 batters, striking out 104 and walking 19, with 5 HR. Cliff Lee this regular season has faced 305 batters, striking out 67 and walking 4, with 2 HR.
